Wish the world is a better place this way....

It has been concurrent issue since many years. The superiority of male over female, the domination, a wrong notion inscribed in hearts, the male chauvinism. According to the definition it is only a blind belief of superiority and patriotism. This has now become a cliche. Even though many voices raised against, it is still not extinct. It was a giant monster in those days and today it is covered under a magic blanket and is invisible.

Who is the reason for this? Is it the male community ? They might have laid the rules, but endorsement of these was by the women. They were happy to stay as a puppet and accept the belief. They have inculcated the same old belief to their off-springs too. A child's ideology is obtained mainly from the mother. The chauvinism was only at home in earlier days because women dint go to work. Today it is everywhere as women have entered any field one could pin point.

The main reason is the society. Who are the society? It is us. If we think we can change the outlook of the society. There are men who support women against male chauvinism, but they act with it to favor their conditions. In a work situation, where a women is at superior position not all men co-operate with her. Some co-operate, some try to pull her legs, some try to bring disgrace,

In this 21st century where women equalize men in all the fields, why is her soul relationship left for desertion after marriage? Why is it only a guy's responsibility to take care of his parents? Why cant a girl take care of her parents even after marriage? Why is there still a system that girl should leave back her parents for a new life? Why should she change her last name? Why cant there be a custom where both married men and women say separately and take care of their parents together? Why is always a girls parents on the lower side of the balance? It is being said that a girls parents should have a son to take care of them as per the practice. What is the plight of single daughter's or only daughter's parents?

I wish there was a world of equality in relationships, emotion, power, rights. If god comes to grant me a wish, I will ask him to change this perspective of this world. As according to a study better success can be achieved when men and women work in harmony. And let us women instill thoughts of equality to the next generation. I believe this had made and will make a difference we desire. Let this world be such a place of harmony.

Tangled - Movie Review:

Yet another Disney movie proves to be an entertainer of all ages. The fairy tale of a blossoming damsel (Rapunzel) being abducted for the magical powers of her hair and how she finds her parents is the storyline. The royal family has lost their heir to a selfish woman. In memory of her birthday the king lets out floating candles every year on the princess’ birthday.

This has been Rapunzel’s attraction and dream since childhood. A fine day she meets a roguish bandit Flynn Rider, who comes with a royal asset. She makes a deal with him to take her to see the lights and in turn she will give his asset. Then starts the real fun; as they travel, rapunzel explores the outside world after 18years. The music director has done excellent with the songs and background score.
A must watch !!

Withdrawn

A cozy night, after a busy long day;
Engrossed in work with his laptop
Was her love unnoticing her presence.
Admiring him silently she was into the room,
Slithering  beside him in need of warmth;
She overspoke her mind in excitement.
Thoughts conveyed wrongly,
Turns her down, lost in his world.
Sensitive damsel unknowing her way to explain,
Retreats in silence
Awaiting his call.

P.S: My first attempt of poem. Am not sureif it is really one. Suggestions & corrections welcome. J

Hostel Rasam:

This is one of the easiest and just needs two minutes to cook. It might not be right to compare it with rasam in hostel which would be barely a chilli water. But this is definitely an awesome rasam to be done on sluggish days. Amazing taste with a very little input.

Ingredients:
Tomato-1
Garlic – 3 to 4 cloves
Curry leaves – a handful
Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
Pepper - ½ tsp
Salt – for taste
Red chilli – 2 to 3
Tamarind puree – 1 cup

Procedure:
  • Grind tomato, garlic, curry leaves, cumin seeds, pepper, red chilli to a puree.
  • In a vessel add tamarind water and keep it in medium fire.
  • After two minutes, add the puree and wait till it rises to overflow.
  • Switch it off, before it boils. Garnish with corriander leaves if needed.

Fall’10

This has been the much expectant season in this foreign land-“The Fall”. This is my first view of the chameleonic trait of trees. This trait does not endanger anyone but itself. Captured in stages by cameras, admired as a breadth taking sight, can be paralleled to the final stages of human beings.

We would have heard a debatable topic; “Which is the beautiful part of life?”. Every stage is beautiful in its own way. But the final stage where a man rests after working all through his life, enjoys the company of his family, playing with the grandkids is a unique joy. Similar to that here is when a tree transforms its appearance; dries and withers away. It does not fight to survive it lush greenery. Technically, this is a dormant stage to flourish when the sun will rise in the spring. But the trees bring in smile of the beholders even in its last stage before it withers, just as the elders just wait to see only happiness of their successors.

I am really excited to see the beautiful trees changing its colors to yellow, red, orange and maroon. Here are some of my favorite shots.

Endhiran- The Humanoid Super Star

Director: S. Shankar
Written by: S. Shankar, Sujatha, Balakumaran
Music: A.R.Rehman
Cast:
Rajini Kanth - Dr. Vaseegaran
Aishwarya Rai Bacchan – Sana
Danny Denzongpa – Prof. Bohra

Overall Rating

Review: The award winning scientist Dr. Vaseegaran (Rajini Kanth)  is on his mission in developing a Human-Android robot. The only movie which lacks astounding entry of the superstar!! Showing him as a geek (who forgets himself when comes to his innovation) would have disappointed his fervent fans. Another noteworthy avatar of the super star is the absence of his style and punch dialogues. He soon transforms into his latest style of Dr. Vasi to meet his girlfriend Sana (Aishwarya). The robot moves with the public and Vasi studies its reaction to the surroundings.
The robot is fondly called as Chitti, becomes Sana’s favorite toy and her companion to pass in her exam. The Stunt in the train leaves the viewers in awe and it is too fast to comprehend. It moves with Vasi’s lady love in helping and entertaining people at the home.

The villain, Prof Bohra gets jealous on is student Vasi’s successful completion. He being the top executives of AIRD rejects the robot, stamping it as just a machine and ignorant of right and wrong. Then Vasi trains the robot by teaching him all the emotions and relationship complexities.
Rajini’s has been and still is a super star as his movies will reach and satisfy every individual viewer, no matter the age. The robot performs a hard to succeed delivery where the middle aged women would have felt the situation. Vasi’s lady love Sana thanks and Kisses Chitti in excitement for his achievement and this infuses love into a machine.

Chitti does everything to satisfy his new love , even to the extent of finding a mosquito which bit her and making it to apologize. Chitti performs an excellent duet with Sana and reaches to kiss her. Chitti fails in his test to impress the army generals by singing poems on his love. Vasi destroys him in frustration and throws him away.

Prof. Bohra takes advantage of this crack in their relationship and revives Chitti to life with an additional destructive ability. Chitti creates many more of himself and gets on to the mission to marry Sana. He kills the villian and turns into one, destroying and looting very supermarket to fill his palace.

Police blames Vasi for the destruction and fetches his help. The final forty five minutes of amazing graphics and camera leaves us jaw dropping. The Music is fantastic from the Maestero again and stands on its own apart from its support to the movie. Choreography speaks for itself synching with the lyrics. Super Star looks amazing and has danced well, still holds the nation together with his enigma. His acting is amazing in the second half as the destructive robot. Aishwarya looks stunning as always and no wonder even the robot fell in love.

The Director’s visualization has paralleled with the blockbusters of Hollywood like that of matrix, Godzilla, Anaconda. This is a daring step with a huge investment of 160 crores makes it the highest budgeted movie in Asia.
It cannot be called the perfect movie; every movie has its own flaws. And the is a giant step form the Tamil film industry with a great effort from the team and a must watch for Rajini’s fans all over the world.
